Product Overview

EZ-KOTE MLEX-2 is a non-transferring vapor deposited, mold life extension coating agent designed specifically to bond to RTV Condensation and Platinum Silicone molds. Transparent MLEX-2 is formulated to shield and protect silicone molds from urethane and epoxy reactions during molding. Our new polymer formulation extends library life and resin flow while radically decreasing the degradation of the Silicone Mold.

MLEX-2 Features

APPLICATION AND PROCESS FRIENDLY
Dries and vaporizes immediately when spray applied 18” from the mold cavity. Bonds instantly to the silicone mold surface and insures 100% surface coverage when spray applied in the X, Y and Z axis.

SEMI PERMANENT
Our unique polymer chemistry allows for vapor deposition chemical bonding of the coating agent to the silicone molding tool. Each application of MLEX-2 allows for multiple castings before the need to reapply the coating agent and reduces the need for multiple molding of silicone tools for long casting runs and quick cycling runs. Creates a bridge from flexible tooling to reaction molding (RIM).

NON-TRANSFERRING ZERO FINISH DEGRADATION
The MLEX-2 polymer remains on the RTV Silicone Mold without transferring to the molded part. The cast part surface finish remains exactly within your designed parameters – gloss surfaces remain glossy, matte surfaces remain matte-like and clear resins remain crystal clear without any hazing.
